چکیده

We make a quenched lattice simulation of hadron spectroscopy at β = 6.2 with the Wilson action non-perturbatively improved. With respect to the unimproved case, the estimate of the lattice spacing is less influenced by the choice of input hadron masses. We study also the effects of using an improved quark mass in the fits to the dependence of hadron masses upon quark masses. CERN-TH/97-321 November 1997

Scaling of Non-Perturbatively O(a) Improved Wilson Fermions: Hadron Spectrum, Quark Masses and Decay Constants

We compute the hadron mass spectrum, the quark masses and the meson decay constants in quenched lattice QCD with non-perturbatively O(a) improved Wilson fermions. The calculations are done for two values of the coupling constant, β = 6.0 and 6.2, and the results are compared with the predictions of ordinary Wilson fermions. We find that the improved action reduces lattice artifacts as expected.

Comparison of Improved and Unimproved Quenched Hadron Spectroscopy

We make a comparison between our quenched-hadron-spectroscopy results for the non-perturbatively-improved Wilson action and the corresponding unimproved case, at β = 6.2 on the same set of gauge configurations. Within our statistics, we find a sizeable improvement for the baryon spectrum and for the determination of the strange-quark mass . CERN-TH/98-110 April 1998 The computation cost of the ...

New Results for Non-perturbative O(a) Improvement in Light Hadrons *

We have results from light hadron simulations in quenched QCD at β = 6.0 and 6.2 using non-perturbatively improved Sheikholeslami–Wohlert fermions in an effort to remove all O(a) effects. From looking at hadron masses and splittings and the RG-invariant quark masses (where we have one point at β = 5.7) we suggest this is plausible even with the limited data set. The interpretation of the decay ...

New Results From Lattice QCD: Non–Perturbative Renormalization and Quark Masses

For the first time, we compute non–perturbatively, i.e. without lattice perturbation theory, the renormalization constants of two–fermion operators in the quenched approximation at β = 6.0, 6.2 and 6.4 using the Wilson and the tree–level improved SW–Clover actions. We apply these renormalization constants to fully non–perturbatively estimate quark masses in the MS scheme from lattice simulation...

Hadron masses and decay constants in quenched QCD ∗

We present results for the mass spectrum and decay constants using non-perturbatively O(a) improved Wilson fermions. Three values of β and 30 different quark masses are used to obtain the chiral and continuum limits. Special emphasis will be given to the question of taking the chiral limit and the existence of non-analytic behavior predicted by quenched chiral perturbation theory (qχP T).
